Inuvik started generating with LNG in February 2014 but before that could happen they had to install some pretty big tanks. Watch the time-lapsed video to see how it was done.

There were many children of NTPC workers who competed at the 2016 Arctic Winter Games in Nuuk, Greenland.

A new type of protective device, called a TripSaver, was installed on the distribution line to Dettah recently. This device allows for instantaneous tripping and reclosing for momentary faults.  It is less expensive than a line recloser and it is also possible for it to be installed in an existing cut-out switch.

Hay River employees gathered on March 4 to recognize the success of NTPC's franchise proposal to Hay River council.

  On Thursday, March 3, Hay River Town Council passed a motion to move forward with the next steps towards Northwest Territories Power Corporation (NTPC) acquiring the electrical distribution system and entering into a franchise agreement to distribute electricity to the town.

Inuvik staff captured in Jail 'n Bail - TL: Kelly McLeod, TR: Chris Kemshall, BL: Wilma Dosedel, BR: Mike Ocko

Some of our Inuvik staff got "taken away" as part of a Jail 'n Bail fundraiser for the Muskrat Jamboree in February. Rumour has it that Power Lineperson Chris Kemshall couldn't afford bail - hopefully his line crew teammates were able to break him out.
