Communication Strategy

The Communications Strategy was developed to support the overall NTPC mission, vision and values and to enable the successful achievement of the overall corporate objectives laid out in the NTPC Strategic Plan. It looks at NTPC’s communications needs at an organizational level, assesses the internal and external communications environments and lays out the mission, vision, goals and priorities for the next five years.

The strategy is holistic in that it deals with how NTPC communicates as a corporation and examines the roles of all parts of the organization in achieving communications goals and sharing responsibility for communications outcomes. It reaches far beyond the responsibility of the Communications Manager.

The strategy deals with both internal and external communications. A single, integrated strategy ensures that all communications activities support the overall strategic direction of the corporation and recognizes the interconnectedness of how we communicate internally and how we communicate with our customers and the public. It also ensures realistic planning for the human and financial resources available.

The strategy is based on information gathered from customers and employees at all levels of the organization. Senior management has provided input and approved the final version of this strategy.
