Lost Time Injuries are recorded as the number of person-days lost per 200,000 person-hours of labour by NTPC employees and contractors.
Due to a significant number of lifting and handling injuries in 2014/15 there is a focus in 2015/16 on back safety and lifting/handling education. This includes encouragement to do warm-up exercises prior to physical work. Safe Work Practices continue to be developed to aid workers in hazard identification and control.
